Azerbaijan’s dynamically growing economy spurred development of the domestic real estate market and led to huge capital investments in local infrastructure related to oil and gas projects. With the construction sector fully liberalized, property development has evolved into a very competitive sector with a number of companies able to deliver the highest international standards in construction.

In 2013 the sector grew by 12%.The market hot spot is the capital city of Baku although recent years have witnessed construction boom in the regions. The share of residential construction has dramatically increased over years although a steady growth is observed in agriculture, transport and industrial sectors.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations ensures Government control over all stages of construction activities across the country.
