VISA REQUIREMENTS
To obtain a visa for travel to the Republic of Azerbaijan the following documents must be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy:
1. An invitation. All the requests for any type of visa (except diplomatic and service), should be supported by the invitation of receiving party in Azerbaijan, duly confirmed by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Address: 4 Shikhali Gurbanov Str., Baku, AZ 1009. - For tourist visas (only single entry): a confirmation letter from a receiving tourist organization or a hotel in Azerbaijan should be registered at the Consular Department of the MFA of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
For visitor visas (only single entry): an invitation from the citizen of Azerbaijan should be sent through Consular Department of the MFA, the applicant has to state exact address and phone number of inviting party in the application form and to enclose a copy of Azerbaijani citizen identity document.

For transit visas: a valid visa of the visiting country and a copy of round trip ticket required.
2. One completed visa application form.
Effective April 2, 2008 all applicants are required to use the Electronic Visa Application Form. Application form is available through the Embassy website www.azembassy.us or may be faxed upon request. (Please, answer all questions by typing or clearly printing in ink on both left and right sides of the application).
3. Original passport or travel document (photocopies will not be accepted).
4. Two passport-size photos.
5. Visa fee:
Transit single entry (up to 3 days) - $20 US dollars
Transit double entry (up to 3 days) - $40 US dollars
Single entry (up to 90 days) - $131 US dollars
Double entry (up to 90 days) - $131 US dollars
Multiple entry (up to 1 year) - $250 US dollars
Money orders and company checks only accepted. Please, make payment to the order of Embassy of Azerbaijan.
To obtain a visa by mail, the request must include a postage paid return envelope.

Processing time – 10 business days
Transit and short stay single entry visas (up to 30 days) could be obtained at the visa section
of Consular Department of Azerbijan`s MFA in the H. Aliyev International Airport of Baku,
upon arrival by presenting the above mentioned required documents. Visa fee should be
equal to corresponding rates as given above, but cash payments only.
All foreigners visiting Azerbaijan for a period of more than 30 days must register their
passports with the local passport-registration authorities.
